Our love of coastal life and an independent spirit inspires the name.
Mermaid Consulting Services includes Mermaid Home Organization and Mermaid Home for home and home office organization, home staging, room refreshes, and interior styling projects.
Mermaid also provides freelance learning solution design, change management, global project management, sales enablement strategies and content, and general business communication services.

Our Team
Kristine Stables – Owner & Principal
Kristine has a comfortable and collaborative approach while making sure you feel right at home.
After 30+ years in corporate life, Kristine decided to follow her lifelong passion for house and home. Energized by the entrepreneurial spirit of the Rivah and Bay communities, Kristine started Mermaid Home Organization in 2019.
Kristine worked for Fortune 1000 companies known for their industry-leading customer service and professional services, including Four Seasons Hotels & Resorts, GAP, PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), IBM, and Bristol-Myers Squibb.
While at PwC, Kristine began her 25-year career in Corporate Learning & Development, and held roles in learning strategy, instructional design, project management, and sales enablement.
Kristine Stables was living in the Northern Neck when she met and married Scott Stables, joining him in the Urbanna area with their dog Brie.
Depending on the scope of work, Scott partners with Kristine to lend design insights. Scott is a retired Army officer and currently works in government.
